is a classic for young girls. Good also for learnig Inglish language... Relaxing reading... I bought it for my granddaughters....
Having read all of Alcott's books years ago, I was interested in this free offering - based on intra-family writings and notes, letters and poems. It was well worth the time and rounds out my memories of the March/Alcott family.

Who doesn't love Louisa May Alcott?!
I've read this book twice now and each time I come away not.. in awe of Louisa May Alcott father, but in shock. The idea that she had no personal boundaries at home at all disturbed me. (We'll just read your diary and make notes in it to peer pressure you to be a nicer sweeter little girl). Where other reviewers saw an idealistic father, I saw parents who wanted little ladies and nothing more. "Don't think darling, and if you do.. only think as we do."
While the insight to the author's love of family and frame of mind were to say the least.. "insightful," I came away with the exact same feeling as I did the first time I read this book, several years ago.. I felt sorry for the Louisa May Alcott.. and I was very pleased I didn't have her "progressive" father as my own.
This is a great classic and my niece is reading this as I follow along. this takes her back to my young days and what we were reading as well as teach her new words and their meaning. As always the books you read take you far away and into different places in which you may never go with your body but fly with your mind.
Letters and poetry from the Alcott family compiled by one of the Alcott grsndson's.Includes personal pieces from Bronson,Abigail,Anna,Louisa and May. An marvelous assortment.
